Description

This is Mega Pololu Shield or RAMPS for short. The 3D Printer Controller Board RAMPS 1.4 is designed to fit the entire electronics needed for a RepRap in one small package for low cost. RAMPS interfaces an Arduino Mega with the powerful Arduino MEGA platform and has plenty of room for expansion.

RAMPS can only work when connected to its motherboard Mega 2560 and A4988/DRV8825. Owning’s to its stability in operation and great compatibility with the most 3D printer (all RepRap-model such as Prusa i2 and i3). The combination of Ramps 1.4 + MEGA2560 + A4988/DRV8825 is becoming a mainstream of DIY 3D printer control board.

The modular design includes the plug in stepper drivers and extruder control electronics on an Arduino MEGA shield for easy service, part replacement, upgrade-ability, and expansion. Additionally, a number of Arduino expansion boards can be added to the system as long as the main RAMPS board is kept to the top of the stack.

Fused at 5A for additional safety and component protection
Heated bed control with additional 11A fuse
Shield has on pin header sockets so they can be replaced easily or removed for use in future designs.
Suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase motors
I2C and SPI pins are left available for future expansion.
Servo-style connectors are used to connect to the end stops motors and LEDs.
These connectors are rated for 3A, very compact, and globally available.
SD Card add on available
LEDs indicate when heater outputs on

I did find that there was some smell while using it and found it would be better to use this engraver in a ventilated area. I think it should be necessary to buy another air assist to direct the airflow to the outside, the effect will be better!

I am a beginner and this laser engraver is equipped with everything I need. I USED GBRL SOFTWARE WITH A MAC SYSTEM AND THE CONNECTION WAS EASY. When cutting wooden blocks, I find it as easy as carving planks. And the effect is not bad, it is a good laser machine.
