The xTool F1 Ultra is a high-speed desktop laser engraver which provides excellent engraving accuracy alongside wide material compatibility and ease of use. With a dual laser source, the F1 Ultra is powerful enough for deep engraving, embossing, and cutting on metals, wood, acrylic, etc. Pushing the workspace limit of fiber lasers to a new level without sacrificing the details and precision, the xTool F1 Ultra provides the finest engravings in every corner of its large working area.

The potent combination of a 20W fiber with a 20W diode laser greatly expands the range of compatible materials. With the F1 Ultra, the user does not have to waste time on reassembling the laser head, as switching between the two laser sources is performed seamlessly in the XCS software. The industrial-grade galvo system allows for a record-breaking speed of 10,000 mm/s, making the F1 Ultra one of the fastest laser engravers in the market capable of performing fast engravings on almost any material.

The live preview and auto-focus functions help precisely place the material and speed up the process, making the machine suitable for batch production. One more exclusive feature of the xTool F1 Ultra is 3D Curve Engraving. It automatically creates 3D models for curved surfaces to engrave any patterns flawlessly. Plug-and-play functionality as well as ergonomic desktop design make the F1 Ultra a portable device, greatly enhancing your engraving opportunities. The protective cover safely blocks harmful laser emission and can be set at any height. The built-in fan extracts smoke and fumes and can be supplemented with an optional air purifier for extra protection. To further ensure the user’s safety, the machine is equipped with an emergency stop button, smart cover mechanism that drops laser power to harmless light if opened during operation, and integrated fire safety alarm.

The F1 Ultra is the improved version of the original Xtool F1 laser engraver. For efficient batch engraving on almost all materials, it is recommended to use the F1 Ultra with two powerful fiber and diode lasers, super speed, enlarged working area, and Auto Streamline production feature. Thanks to its dual laser source, the xTool F1 Ultra can process a wide variety of materials. With the 20W fiber laser, the machine is capable of exceptional metal (stainless steel, aluminum, gold, silver, iron, platinum) and plastic engraving performance. The blue diode laser is great for working with the most common materials, such as wood, acrylic, leather, slate, glass, ceramic, etc.

Besides engraving, the F1 Ultra also allows embossing and even thin metal cutting. The machine can cut a 0.4mm brass, 0.3mm stainless steel and 0.2mm aluminum sheet with its 20W fiber laser. As for the 20W diode laser, it is powerful enough to cut wood up to 15mm and acrylic up to 12mm. In addition, both fiber and diode lasers of the F1 Ultra can do color engraving on metal faster than ever.

Since setting the materials to your desired engraving / cutting effect can be time consuming, xTool tested 400+ materials and built the world’s first material setting library (Material EasySet Library). Now, users can set a specific material through a click of the desired effect on the photo.

Working area
The working area of the xTool F1 Ultra F1 is 220 x 220 mm, which is suitable for engraving on small to medium objects, such as jewelry items, gift cards, key chains, card holders, and more. With an optional conveyor extension, the working area can be enlarged up to 220 x 500 mm, allowing the machine to handle bigger items or process batches of small ones in minutes due to the Auto Streamline feature.

Machine controls
The xTool F1 Ultra is extremely user-friendly and easy to operate from almost any device via Wi-Fi. It features both auto and manual focusing, the latter is set by rotation of the focus adjustment knob on the right side of the machine. To enable the autofocus mode, the user needs to set the material thickness in the software, and the device will automatically adjust the laser head height.

In addition, the F1 Ultra is equipped with a touchable control panel with a clear and intuitive user interface. It can store up to 7GB of project files and independently controls the F1 Ultra to engrave or cut when there is no Internet or PC.

Software
The xTool F1 Ultra comes with the proprietary xTool Creative Space software compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and iPadOS. It supports multiple file formats including SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG, and BMP and provides all the necessary tools for image design and editing as well as material parameters and machine control settings.

For more complicated projects, one can also use the LightBurn software which supports more file formats, such as AI, SVG, DXF, PDF, HPGL, and PLT for vector files and PNG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, TGA, and GIF for raster images, and offers comprehensive design tools. LightBurn is a paid software but it offers a free trial period. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
