Issue description
When using xTool M2, you may encounter the following two situations related to power supply abnormalities:
- After turning on the power switch, the device shows no response and fails to start up.
- During operation, the device suddenly shuts down due to a power outage.
When the above issues occur, the device cannot start up or continue running normally, affecting its normal operation. Please refer to this guidance.
Possible causes
- Power cable not properly connected
- Unstable household power voltage
- Internal software compatibility issues with Samsung EMMC chips
- Hardware failure (such as cracked solder balls or other electronic component damage).
Troubleshooting procedures
1. Check the power connection
- Confirm that both ends of the power cable are firmly connected.

- Try switching to a power outlet known to be working properly.
- If using a power strip, try plugging the device directly into a wall outlet to rule out a power strip malfunction.
- Confirm the power cable has no visible damage or breaks. Replace it if any damage or break is found.
2. Check the type of the adapter
Laser modules and print heads with different power ratings have different requirements for power adapters; using the wrong adapter can cause power supply issues.
Module | Adapter specification requirements |
|---|---|
10W module | 25V 4.8A |
3W infrared module | 25V 4.8A |
CMYK inkjet module | 25V 4.8A |
20Wmodule | 25V 6A |

- Check the output voltage and current values on the adapter label to confirm that they match the processing module you currently use.
- If you find that the adapter wattage is incorrect, replace it with an adapter of the correct specification before testing again.
3. Check the status of the adapter indicator light
(1) Disconnect the adapter from xTool M2 (leave the adapter plugged into the power outlet only).
(2) Check the status of the indicator light on the adapter:
- Solid green: The adapter is working properly. Please proceed to the next steps.
- Blinking green or off: The adapter is faulty. Contact the xTool after-sales service team for a replacement adapter.

4. Restart xTool M2
(1) Turn off the power switch, unplug the power cable, and wait about 30 seconds.
(2) Plug the power cable back in and turn on the Power switch.
(3) Check whether the device can start normally.
Note: If you encounter power issues, restarting the device multiple times may resolve them and allow the device to return to normal.
5. Check the household power voltage
Check whether other high-power appliances (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, or microwave ovens) exhibit abnormalities during operation, such as flickering lights or unstable operation.
- If unstable voltage or abnormal power conditions are suspected, temporarily turn off unnecessary appliances and test xTool M2 again.
- You can also test the device at another location, such as a friend’s home or an office.
If the issue persists, please contact xTool Customer Service.
