Overview
When xTool F2's red light indicator becomes dim or fails to light up, the indicator ball head needs to be replaced. Contact our after-sales services to get a new one and replace the red light indicator as instructed by this guide.
Tools required
- A 2 mm Phillips screwdriver
- New red light indicator
Replacement procedure
1. Remove F2's laser module cover
1) Start xTool F2. Turn the knob to raise the laser module until it reaches the maximum height.
2) Disconnect the power supply and remove the key.
3) Loosen the screws securing the laser module cover.
4) Remove the laser module cover.
2. Remove the indicator ball head to be replaced
1) Disconnect the connection cable.

2) Loosen the two securing screws and take the ball head of the red light indicator out.

3. Install the new indicator ball head
1) Install the new indicator ball head and secure the two screws. Note that the laser emitting position should be close to the field lens.

2) Re-connect the connection cable and secure the two screws.

3) Install the protective cover of the laser module back. Secure the six screws.


4. Perform calibration
Start the xTool software and perform IR and blue-light laser calibration.
